What is this country that I live in ?
Farhan asks by tweeting his moving poem that stirs everyone about the Delhi incident. Here it goes..
With no equality
Differs from husband to wife
Boy to girl, brother to sister
Hey Mister, are you the same?
Contributing to the national shame
Replacing your mothers
With the bent ideology of another`s
perception that women have a particular role in society
Fills my heart with anxiety
Where is all of this going?
What will emerge from these seeds that we`re sowing?
It makes my head spin
But I`m not giving in
Will keep asking the question
What is this country that I live in?

That takes away her right to love
Brutalizes her with an iron glove
Rapes her without fear
of there being justice for her tear
We've demeaned our goddesses
Gone back on all our promises
Become a gender distorted nation

That she`s growing up to be lamb for the slaughter
we've got to make a change
Reboot, reformat, rearrange,
and never give in

It was such a poem by Farhan, that moved me so much and I didn't kept myself not to share this through my blog. Jaago re India!!
Between 6 pm and 6 am, a woman has the right to REFUSE to go to the Police Station, even if an arrest warrant has been issued against her!
An incident took place in Delhi,India - a young girl was raped by a man posing as a plain clothes officer;... he asked her to come to the police station when she and her male friend didn't have a driver's license to show. He sent the boy off to get his license and asked the girl to accompany him to the police station. Took her instead to an isolated area where the horrendous crime was committed.
The law [which most is not aware of] clearly states that between 6 pm and 6 am, a woman has the right to REFUSE to go to the Police Station, even if an arrest warrant has been issued against her.
It is a procedural issue that a woman can be arrested between 6 pm and 6 am, ONLY if she is arrested by a woman officer and taken to an ALL WOMEN police station. And if she is arrested by a male officer, it has to be proven that a woman officer was on duty at the time of arrest.
Please forward this to as many girls you know.. Also to boys.. because this can help them protect their wives, sisters and mothers. It is good for us to know our rights. To what extent it comes of use remains to be seen in any situation. But as they say, knowledge is power.

Even though watching the whole match is very boring, I can't step back myself watching INDIA in the finals. I saw the Whole Match and I'm proud and grateful to witness this historic moment in my lifetime!! India won the World Cup 2011 in Wankhede stadium at Mumbai.

Chasing a target of 275, Our Team was almost tighten the excess pressure by the caught of first two wickets,Viru n Our Cric-God Sachin in the beginning of the match. The match was continued just like the ants in pants. But, it got stuck by the Outstanding Sixer for the last ball by MS Dhoni, bringing back all the joy and pride for India.
INDIA won by 6wickets against SriLanka in Finals.

And, making the memories even sweeter for India,
- Yuvraj Singh was named Man of the Series for his 15 wickets and 362 runs with an average of 90.50.
- M.S.Dhoni was declared Player of the Match for his brilliant unbeaten inning of 91 runs from just 79 balls.

This awesome win has also leaving the sad news by completing the career CV of the Legend, who didn't contribute to the final as much as he may have liked to, but his innings in the lead-up to the final, not least in the semi-finals against Pakistan.
BCCI rewards 1 crore for each player in the Team India. Yea.. They truly deserves this.
And 50 lakhs to each supporting staff and 25 lakhs to each of the Indian selectors.
It was also the perfect send-off for coach Gary Kirsten, who has now ended his tenure with the Indian team.
